The Regent Bowerbird is a striking species endemic to eastern Australia, found in rainforests and forest margins from central Queensland to northern New South Wales. Its diet consists mainly of fruits and berries, supplemented by insects, and males are known for building elaborate bowers decorated with leaves, shells, and even "paint" made from mashed vegetation to attract mates.
