The Scaly-breasted Lorikeet is a bright green parrot with yellow scalloping on its chest, found along the eastern coast of Australia from Cape York in Queensland to northern New South Wales, inhabiting open forests, woodlands, and urban gardens. It feeds primarily on nectar and pollen using its brush-tipped tongue, but also consumes fruits, seeds, and insects, often foraging in noisy flocks alongside Rainbow Lorikeets.
