The White-cheeked Honeyeater is found along the east coast of Australia—from Queensland through coastal New South Wales—and in the south-west corner of Western Australia, inhabiting moist heathlands, wetlands, and forests with a heath understorey. It feeds mainly on nectar, supplemented by insects, and often forages in small, noisy groups among flowering trees and shrubs.
